Chapter Board position

Dear EWGA Sandhills NC Chapter Members;
 
                           Help Shape The Future of Our Chapter!
 
It's your turn and we need you! We have many members with the skills and talent to lead our Chapter. This is your opportunity to make a positive difference by nominating yourself and/or others for a Chapter Board position.
 
You may wonder "what's in it for me?" Plenty! Chapter leaders get to know, and be known by, the most other members, learn or polish valuable skills, and gain business visibility. Most of all, they enjoy the personal satisfaction of contributing to the decisions and operations that help us carry out our mission of connecting women to learn, play and enjoy golf for fun and business.
 
Each year we conduct elections for our Chapter Board Members in accordance with our bylaws. To help provide stability in the running of our Chapter, Board positions are set up in staggered rotation so that the entire Board doesn't turn over in the same year. This year, we'll be electing the following for 2018:
 
President: 1 year term. Currently Lisa Bomkamp
Member Services Director: 2 year term. Currently Heather Sweed
Golf Director: 2 year term. Currently Ronda Powell
 
You can nominate yourself or someone else from the membership who you feel would be an asset to our leadership, and foster the growth of our Chapter.  Yes, it takes a commitment to be a Board member, but the friendships we've made and the lives we touched have been significant, meaningful rewards.
 
I hope you will join us in sharing that experience by making a leadership commitment.

EWGA Overview

The EWGA was founded in 1991 by a group of 28 women in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, calling themselves the "Executive Women's Golf League".  While becoming in turn the Executive Women's Golf Association, and now simply the EWGA, it has grown and evolved into the world's largest women's golf organization, with approximately 15,000 members in the US and Canada.   The EWGA connects women to learn, play, and enjoy golf for business and for fun.  ALL current, aspiring, and former business and professional women with an interest in golf are welcome, and the EWGA offers programs and events for all skill levels from rank beginner to social golfer or elite competitor. 

The EWGA "E"mpowers women to play and compete.  It "E"nriches their lives through social relationships and business networking.  Above all, it helps them "E"njoy and be "E"nergized by a lifelong, healthy sport.
